Nova Finds Her Mission. And Her Veteran.

Nova’s next chapter begins now.

After a year of training with Shelter to Soldier, Nova graduated and matched with the veteran she now supports. Her rescue story now becomes a partnership built on trust, stability and a shared future.

Service dogs provide more than companionship. They help veterans manage daily challenges, reduce anxiety and regain confidence and independence. That partnership helps veterans heal long after service ends.

Through its Red Star Sponsorship, the Frontwave Foundation supported Nova’s journey from rescue through training and placement. The sponsorship gives both dog and veteran renewed purpose.

Shelter to Soldier lives its mission of “Saving Lives, Two at a Time,” pairing rescued dogs with veterans who gain trained support and constant companionship. Each successful match gives a dog a home and a veteran a partner ready to face daily life together.

Nova’s graduation comes from months of work by trainers, volunteers and supporters preparing each dog for success. Now her real work begins, helping her veteran build routine, connection and confidence.

Programs like Shelter to Soldier show the Foundation’s commitment to military members, veterans and their families and extend support long after service ends.

We celebrate Nova’s achievement and this new partnership. We remain grateful to everyone who made this journey possible.

Sometimes healing shows up on four legs.
